A friend of mine asked me what I thought of Virgin Mobile's $25 unlimited data plan with no contract and I was truly stumped.  I have been covering AT&T, Verizon and T-Mobile lately this has caused me to take a step back and look at the other carrier deals in the market.  The $25 and the $40 plans look like a screaming deals for unlimited text, data and 300 minutes of talk time.  Virgin operates on the Sprint 3G network and so if you are wondering about coverage read our Sprint review or see our Sprint coverage maps for coverage problem areas to avoid. Based on what I have read about the carrier it seems great even for the 1200 minutes at $40 per month but I want to hear from you.   Is it worth it to switch to the discount carrier and save hundreds and sometimes thousands of dollars per year?  Does Virgin Mobile have enough quality phones to chose from.  Here some phones available at Amazon.com that will work on the Virgin network.  Please tells us what you think below in the Disqus comments box below.
