Why Does Gmail Think So Many Emails Are Spam?
If Gmail consistently marks legitimate emails as spam, there are a few possible reasons for this behavior. Gmail employs various algorithms and filters to automatically detect and filter out spam emails. However, these filters may occasionally generate false positives, mistakenly categorizing legitimate emails as spam. Here are some factors that can contribute to Gmail's spam detection:
Content Analysis: Gmail's spam filters analyze the content of emails to identify potential spam indicators. This includes looking for specific keywords, phrases, or patterns commonly found in spam messages. If your emails contain certain elements that trigger these filters, they may be marked as spam.
Sender Reputation: Gmail considers the reputation of the sender's email address or domain when determining whether an email is spam or not. If the sender's email address or domain has been associated with spam in the past or has a poor reputation, it can result in legitimate emails being flagged as spam.
User Feedback: Gmail takes user feedback into account when assessing email deliverability. If a significant number of users mark emails from a particular sender as spam or move them to the spam folder, Gmail's filters may learn to categorize similar emails as spam.
Authentication and Encryption: Emails that lack proper authentication, such as SPF (Sender Policy Framework) or DKIM (DomainKeys Identified Mail), may be more likely to be treated as spam. Similarly, emails that are not encrypted using TLS (Transport Layer Security) may receive higher scrutiny from spam filters.
If you find that Gmail consistently marks legitimate emails as spam, here are a few steps you can take:
Check the Spam Folder: Make sure to regularly review your Gmail spam folder and mark legitimate emails as "Not Spam." This helps Gmail learn that those emails are not unwanted.
Whitelist Senders: Add the email addresses or domains of legitimate senders to your Gmail Contacts or create filters to ensure their emails are not marked as spam.
Request Whitelisting: If you are a sender and notice that your emails are consistently marked as spam by Gmail, you can ask your recipients to add your email address to their contacts or whitelist your domain to improve email deliverability.
Review Email Content: Avoid using language, formatting, or content that resembles typical spam messages. Ensure that your emails are well-written, relevant, and personalized to reduce the chances of them being marked as spam.
Remember that Gmail's spam filters continually learn and adapt based on user feedback and new spam patterns. By actively managing your inbox, providing feedback, and following best practices, you can help improve Gmail's accuracy in distinguishing between spam and legitimate emails.what these companies are doing today is based on the influence of money and not the public good.
Does the FCC regulate or do anything about SPAM phone calls? Not really we get tons of spam phone calls daily. There are ways to prevent spam phone calls but do they even work? Are spam phone calls driving you insane?
If you are small and are trying to send emails to people you don't know you are screwed and your email is likely to go into a spam folder. Don't waste your time!
Too Many iPads & Apple Devices in a Classroom Can Cause Wifi Problems
Too Many iPads in Class Can Cause WiFi Problems
Use "Airplane Mode" to Fix The Problems When Devices Are Idle
I volunteered today in my son's 1st-grade class and noticed a big problem with the WiFi in the classroom. There were 41 devices simultaneously connected to the WiFI network. 12 of those devices were iPads and iPods that were "sleep mode" but they were connected to the network even though they were off and in the closet. These devices were slowing the network down so much that the PCs stopped working in the class.
26 of the other devices were Windows-based PCs that have never previously had a problem connecting to the network until the Apple devices were introduced into the classroom. I have also noticed this problem at home as well. Whenever my network is running slow it always seems to improve when I put the 3 iPads and 1 iPod in my home on airplane mode.
I think Apple needs to get smarter about managing multiple devices communicating on the same network. The problem with changing devices into airplane mode in the classroom is that it makes the devices untraceable. Network administrators are currently able to view devices if they are removed from the classroom by tracing which Wifi network it connects to. If anyone else is experiencing these issues please let me know.
How Much is Verizon's Upgrade Fee?
Used Car Salesman at Verizon Wireless Stores
Negotiation and hassle is basically what Verizon would like their customers to deal with. Nothing is straightforward and it sounds like everything is negotiable. Atleast that is why my wife said on her last trip to a Verizon Wireless store and that what it sounds like with the new $30 upgrade fee that is negotiable. Verizon bogus statement says:
"This fee will help us continue to provide customers with the level of service and support they have come to expect which includes Wireless Workshops, online educational tools, and consultations with experts who provide advice and guidance on devices that are more sophisticated than ever. While the upgrade fee is not unique to Verizon Wireless, most devices can be traded in with our green friendly trade-in program at verizonwireless.com/tradein as a way to save money or potentially offset the fee completely."

Verizon Phones Suddenly Not Working
My wife's Droid phone keyboard suddenly stopped working and I am beginning to think there are other people who are having the same problem. Typing on the keyboard is impossible and it stops after a few letters. The arrow key does not work to go back as well. She ran into a few friends also on Verizon and the store and it appears that they are having the same issue. However, this time it was on a Blackberry phone.
Is Verizon making changes in their customer's settings remotely without telling customers? Is this a big conspiracy to get Verizon customer to upgrade their phone during the Holiday shopping period? I am beginning to wonder if Verizon is tampering with their customer's phones in order to make them go into a store and upgrade. Please share your experiences below if your phone settings are suddenly getting changed and causing technical issues.
After doing some research on Twitter it appears other customers are having similar issues. See this Twitter search for "Verizon Phone Not Working".
Verizon.com Paperless Billing Scam
Verizon Internet, FIOS, TV, FIOS, Wireless Paperless Billing Scam
If you are a regular customer of Verizon Fios you will probably notice that once your contract expires or you are using recurring credit card payments that it is impossible to get a bill for your account. They will just keep billing you until you ask for details about the service. I tried to log into the Verizon.com account several times to review the bill and it is impossible to get access to my billing history, change my credit card information or review the services I have. I have called the customer service and they can't deliver me a bill. I am no confident that this paperless billing is just a scam so Verizon doesn't have to be transparent about its billing practices. This is not a technical glitch as it has been the same for weeks. Has any consumer agency done anything about this fraudulent billing practice? No. The only solution you have is to speak with some incoherent customer service representative who will make you promises that they can't deliver. For instance, I have only been getting half of the upload and download speeds I was promised. No the customer service representative wants to sell me a plan that is 25MB/25MB.
Please submit your comments and experiences below if you have had similar problems.
